Paris Burgundy Provence

Burgundy Vineyards & Villages

  • On the first day, drive 3 hours from Paris or CDG airport to Burgundy region
  • You will reside for 3 nights in a former barn which was entirely restored by your hosts. Situated in the heart of Burgundy, 10-minute drive to Beaune, you will be perfectly located to tour the region and taste its wines.
  • We'll tell you where to go for the best wine tasting in the area. After that, you can savor a traditional Burgundy meal or buy a picnic at Beaune market and take a sunbath it in the park close by.
  • One day, let Alex, a local guide, take you on a nice walk in the vineyards of Meursault to better understand Burgundy wines from the vine culture to the glass. You will end this afternoon with the visit of a family-owned winery you could not visit on your own, and taste 5 of their wines.
  • We will provide you with detailed itineraries to discover the authentic and charming Burgundy. This region is much more than the vineyards: winding roads leading to tiny timeless villages - some of them "Most Beautiful Villages of France" - will give you a real feel for this region. Dijon has kept a lot of ancient monuments and houses, yet it is a modern city that is very lively and full of charm.

Provence History & Gastronomy

  • On the 4th day, you will drive about 4 hours to Provence where you will spend 4 nights in a lively town between Aix en Provence and the Luberon hills. You will be comfortably settled in the former school which was entirely renovated by your hosts. Walk to restaurants and enjoy a terraced garden with gorgeous views to the town's roofs. Very Provençal ! One night, enjoy a convivial dinner at your B&B, by the fountain.
  • Go shopping in Aix-en-Provence or sunbathe in the creeks of Cassis. Arles is famous for its arena dating back to the Roman Empire, which will take you 2,000 years back in time. If you are interested in history, don’t miss the Roman ruins at Arles, Orange and the Pont du Gard. We will also take you to smaller sites – less famous and much quieter.
  • Spend a day in the Luberon gorgeous landscapes riding an electric bike. Several itinerary options are available for you to enjoy biking at your own pace.
  • So many things to see in less than an hour's drive from your B&B: Stroll hilltop villages on market day, walk on the footsteps of famous painters such as Cézanne or Picasso. We will also tell you about some hidden jewels - villages, off the beaten track where you will stroll around charming streets or have a drink at a provencal café with locals. We can also recommend a farmer’s market and wine cellar for each day of the week!
  • You will also explore the salt marshes of the Camargue and visit the Alpilles region, where you will find beautiful Saint Remy de Provence
  • For gourmet travelers we plan for you to spend an afternoon at a local Chef, prepare a nice dinner which you will enjoy outside, with a great view.

We recommend to our travelers to fly out of Marseille to save time and tiredness getting back to Paris. If not possible, we will be happy to help you find the best transportation to your next destination.

Emilie and Guillaume planned a wonderful trip for us. The B&Bs we stayed in were outstanding. Every recommendation -from restaurants to walks to things to do and see -was wonderful. They were very responsive to all our questions and concerns. I recommend them VERY highly and without reservation.

A "Pinch Me" Tour. Expertly organised. We just spent the most wonderful month in France on our honeymoon curated by Laura and Emilie in such a way that we felt we experienced the very essence of France. From the Loire Valley, through the Biarritz area, the Basque region and finally to Provence. The itinerary gave us so many "pinch me" moments that …

We began planning this trip over a year before our departure date. We have done a lot of traveling but this trip was for our 25th wedding anniversary! Once we decided upon France as our destination all that was left was to get all the details taken care of. Based on previous adventures, we knew that we wanted to drive ourselves on a self- directed …
