Travel Insurance

You are already insured in France for matters related to transportation, accommodation and activities booked with us.

However, we highly recommend you to take additional travel insurance coverage for health issues, evacuation or last minute cancellation.

A travel insurance may provide reimbursement for cancellation, interruptions or delays, lost baggage, medical emergencies or evacuations, and 24/7 worldwide assistance.

Not always. Most regular health insurance plans provide partial or no coverage while you are traveling in another country. For Medicare, there is never coverage abroad.

Be careful, in some cases you might be covered for cancellation (with limitation) but almost no credit cards provide medical expenses or evacuation coverage.

Many plans offer a waiver that removes the pre-existing condition exclusion.

To be covered you need to:

  1. buy your plan soon after your first trip payment
  2. insure for the full trip cost
  3. be medically cleared for travel at the time of purchase.

Within days of making your initial trip deposit.

There are many benefits to purchasing the plan sooner, including maximizing the period of cancellation coverage, and being eligible for pre-existing condition coverage.

My husband and I used Emilie from France Just For You to plan a special trip for our anniversary. We loved the fact that our trip had structure, but at the same time, we had freedom to explore as we wished. We also loved the fact that the trip included guided tours, but we were not tied to a tour group as such. Emilie planned our trip according to …
